Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my!

Our trip to the Jerusalem Zoo was wonderful! The weather was perfect and the animals were playful and alert the day we visited which made it even more special for the kids. These monkeys were the star attraction. They live on their own Island surrounded by a lake filled with fish, turtles, ducks and other wild life.

It's hard to believe that these Syrian brown bears once roamed Israel's mountains freely about a hundred years ago along with lions, leopards and crocodiles.

The petting farm was chaotic but they did have the sweetest baby goats that nibbled away at anything they could reach.

They have a park in the zoo with these amazing mosaic animals for kids to play on. I have never seen anything quite like it.
