Mamilla

Mamilla is a beautiful new open air mall beside the old city in Jerusalem with many boutiques, art gallerys, cafes and restaraunts. It was actually created by taking apart the original ancient structure, numbering each brick and then painstakingly putting it back together again piece by piece. You can still see the numbers scrawled on each stone in black paint. There is art everywhere in the form of huge canvases and sculptures. It is just stunning. Sitting at an outdoor cafe overlooking Jerusalem was one of my favourite highlights so far. Oh and buying a gorgeous black dress for an upcoming wedding from a lovely boutique was also pretty fantastic.
