Nes Harim

Located in the Judean foothills near Beit Shemesh, Nes Harim or Mountain Miracle, is situated 2,275 feet above sea level. It is a mountain bikers paradise and many riders come from all over Israel to take advantage of its winding trails and breathtaking views. There are wineries to visit, caves to explore, cafes, bed and breakfasts, archeological sites and so much more. We visited a secret playground that only the locals know about and attempted a short hike with the kids. It was so unbelievably beautiful but unfortunately my pictures do not do it justice. The kids picked up mini pine cones during our walk and later at home they used them along with shells, sticks, beads and string to make mobiles. I am really grateful that we got to experience this place before we left. I will miss Israel so much.
